Yeah saw this somewhere else. I think if sahara somehow gets rid of its sandiness then nutrients needed for plants (ask paadeniya ) will not reach amason forrest causing it to die and eventually become a dessert.

I think the world has some sort of equilibrium which cannot be broken. Just like if you take land from somewhere from the sea it will cause erosion somewhere else.
