one of these fact book name was ගණිත විනෝදය, i had a very early print of it, pages/print/paper and cover was in really good quality, and somehow i lost it, and recently i bogut a recent print of the book for my sister and the that print was awfull qulity one.

You are correct. He had a series of books - Maths, Physics & Astronomy.
I think they were titled like Maths for Fun etc - ගණිත විනෝදය seems to be right.
But never thought they were still in print. Thanks!

hi. have u studied about godel numbering ? can't godel numbering be used to prove FLT ? or is it impossible to apply godel numbering in a mechanical way to test if a statement follows from its axioms ? because as far as i understand if u can prove FLT can either be provable or unprovable it alone is sufficient to say FLT must hold true given the nature of the problem. am i right?

But we must appreciate their astonishing effort..
Most of Sri Lankan students,Teachers,Lecturers...only know to learn some ones theory and they don't have there way of solving some thing...

I've never seen the astronomy and physics books in Sri Lanka. Isn't that??

Don't take that as serious.. Just joking because it's not zero.
At 20,000 ft (6096m) the acceleration of gravity will be 9.8031 which is 0.998 of the value at the surface of the earth. Hardly any difference.

But when something falls, or when thrown from an aircraft, you need to take into effect the air resistance, not the gravity change which is negligible.
