i just feel the govt prefers to avoid conflict and radical changes as much as they can. maybe it's a strategy to retain their voter base. hard times are ahead, and even elections which probably hang over their heads like Damocles' sword. besides, a ton of things they touched have already backfired on them in one way or another. i think their hesitance to commit to anything is quite understandable. also, you can't deny that there must be disagreements even within the govt about how best to proceed. npp vs jvp is only the first layer. every man and his dog has an opinion these days.
