I want to write some long writeup to ease my mind, but once I had this debate about the same thing, one EK member said that no matter what, he is always an Indian hater and insists that will never change. In which I realized that we Sri Lankans were born with these prejudgments that we always in fear about our giant neighbor, and the history books written by Bhikkhu always emphasize the anti-Indian stance. So, this islander mindset is hard to change, But I want to say, people. You need to grow up.

I don't think it's because the "history books written by Bhikkhu always emphasize the anti-Indian stance", but it's because of the behaviour of many Indians. It's not only us hating them.

I know people who never migrated or never talked with foreigners, but who have prejudgments about the unknown. It is normal. I know that you may have worked with those Indians and had unpleasant incidents. I can understand that. But I want to say that most Sri Lankans, including my family members, have never supported India. Yesterday, my own brother said that he liked that the Indians lost the World Cup. and he is a Pakistan supporter. Most of my friends have similar mindsets. But I always have this respect for India, which is why I decided to learn the Hindi language.
