I do not have thoughts about that

This is the problem. You haven’t thought this through. Every element counts.

Is it fair criticism against wokeness or just plain bigotryâ€ĻI’m really confused on what basis or criteria people like you decide whether a particular casting is “woke” or “natural”.

I am not brainwashed by the liberal ideology like those who are confused, mate. They are doing this so the studios can increase their DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) points. Recent Disney content that prioritized the 'woke' agenda was unsuccessful at the box office and in the streaming business, so there's no need for confusion. The market dictates it all.

    Google "ESG Score"

No what I meant was are the studios in some kind of agreement with SAG or a similar body in order to incentivize for pronounced diversity casting. Like something directly influencing the studios to do so.

There’s a woke phenomena in the entertainment industry, I do not contest it. The decisions that shape mainstream entertainment have roots that are economic in nature (this always has been the case). None of this is secret.

My confusion is not so much with people criticizing PC tendencies (which is warranted) as it is with the simplistic form in which these criticisms come in. You claim there’s unhealthy diversity casting right now, you see a black actor, you scream. What is the logical step here? Can’t black actors act anymore? Shouldn’t they appear in movies above a certain threshold?

I specifically use black instead of minority because black people have always been a part of the history of Hollywood and un many genres. Them appearing should not be outrageous an event generally.
