ඒ ඉස්සර බං. මම පහු ගිය කාලේ රට ගිහින් එන්න හදන කොට එහේ හිටපු ලංකාවේ උන් දහ දොලොස් දෙනෙක්ම ඇවිල්ලා ඇහුවේ උන්ගේ ලංකාවේ ඉන්න නෑයොන්ට බෙහෙත් ගෙනිහින් දෙන්න පුළුවන්ද කියලා. එකෙකුට හා කිව්වාම ඌ ගෙනත් දුන්නා බෙහෙත් වර්ග 12ක් විතර මාස 6කට විතර ඇති වෙන්න කියලා තඩි පාර්සලයක්. දෙවෙනි එකාට නම් "හා" "බෑ" කියන්න දෙයක් තිබ්බෙ නෑ. ඌට කොහොමත් මම බෑ කියන් නෑ කියලා ඌ දන්න නිසා ඌත් අර වගෙම තඩි පාර්සලයක් ගෙනත් දීලා "මේක ගෙනියපන්" කියාපි. මම ඒත් ඇහුවා තොපි ෆාමසිවත් කරනවාද කියලා. අනිත් උන්ට නම් මම බෑ කිව්වා බෑග්වල බර වැඩියි කියලා. එයාර්පොර්ට් එකේදී චෙක් කරලා නවත්ත ගත්තොත් එහෙම වස නෝන්ඩිය. රටට මත් පෙති ගේනවා කියලානේ ඊට පස්සේ නිව්ස් එකේ වදින්නේ.

මාත් බැලුවේ ඒකයි. සින්හල බෙහෙත් නම් කමක් නෑ. ඒවා නෑනේ. ඒත් ඉන්දියන් බෙහෙත් ගෙනියනවා නම් උන්ට ගහන්න ඕනි මඩු වලිගෙන්.

හදීසි ආබාධයක්, පපුවේ අමාරුවක් හැදුනොත් මොකෝ සර් කරන්නේ? එදාට නිලධාරීතුමා නිවාඩු නම්, පළාතේ පක්ස කොමිටියේ රැස්වීමට ගිහිල්ල නම් උන්වහන්සේ සම්ප්‍රාප්ත වෙනකම් ඉස්පිටිතාලේ යන්න බෑ නේ?

අවුරුදු දෙකකට පාරක් ඇවිත් රටේම තියන බෙහෙත් වර්ග ටික පොදි ගහගෙන රට යන උන් එනවලු උන් ඉන්න රටවල වගේ මෙඩිකල් system හදන්න.

This is because these guys do not have access to the medical system and also do not have the required private insurance cover.

The day before yesterday my wife tripped and fell down in Lake Tekapo village. I wasn't around when it happened. She had bruising in the knees with slight bleeding but her left hand hit the road. She said possible fracture in the small finger. There was a small pharmacy nearby, and even they didn't have the bandages we wanted, the basic ones were there. I bandaged her hand and thought that when we arrive in Christchurch the next day could do an x-ray.
In Christchurch we passed the Riccarton Medical centre, which is a Private outfit, and when we went there we were advised that they have an emergency centre nearby with imaging facilities. Drove into there, had a talk with the reception and they said there's a 4 hour wait. All I wanted was only an x-ray even unreported. But as I know it needs a referral from a local doctor. The girl at the reception told me, you better return tomorrow before 8AM. I went in there today at 7.40 AM, there's a queue of about 30 people down to the road. So made a U-turn and came back to the hotel.
I will see what can be done in Wellington. She has her batchmates who are GP's over there.

PS: The next day while driving through a larger town I noticed a drugstore and went in there. They had the necessary finger support bandages that were quite alright.
Even having friends wasn't good enough in Wellington and we decided just not to bother at all. It would have been just a hairline fracture and in any case nothing much could be done. These self heal given time and we just ignored it.

Emergencies are dealt in the hospitals in the ED. The concept is that usually you visit the GP first. Without a GP referral you cannot consult a specialist. You can get a specialist consult without a referral but then you pay a considerable extra payment.
The problem n SL is that everyone visits the specialist even for a simple headache which is not the ideal situation.
