18 high explosive claymore bombs found in Grand-Pass
Army intelligence, subsequent to a tip-off given, made a breakthrough on Wednesday (13) afternoon in Colombo when the troops stormed a garage premises on Lucas Mawatha, Colombo 15 (Grandpass) and unearthed 18 powerful claymore mines, 85 kg of high-powered explosives, two radio sets and two pull switch.
That had been kept buried by suspected Tiger terrorists.
The timely recovery saved an intended bloodbath and a huge destruction, believed to have been masterminded by Tiger in Colombo. Army troops with the help of the Police are conducting investigation.
