Well, the radiation effect happens a lot away from the earth .... so you can go orbit on the earth without much problem (to repair sattelites etc..) ... but no going away from there. No going to moon

I think americans cheated. Just as they did with the Osama blowing up the WTC. Those incidents create enough diversion of the public mind.

It;s possible that USA and Russia both are on the same team on this one. Put up a fake cold war so they can keep peoples' minds busy.

But the technology of nowdays, it may be actually possible to cover that radiation. I didn't say it is impossible. There's nothing impossible.
