They don't know with those fashion they represent not thugs but black slaves.

As I know black slaves had to wear oversized clothes which provided by their owners, they had to wear those old baggy pants because of their helplessness. Also, slaves are chained. Thats why rappers wear baggy clothes and chains.

I dont know why Sri Lankan rappers represent those slave culture in here. Maybe they also descended from black american slaves.

If sri lankan rappers need to represent their roots by heart, they should wear fashion inspired by sarongs, amude and stuff that minor and hard working people wore .
