Windows Server 2003 SP1, Datacenter Edition supports 32 processors and 128 GB RAM

Apart from that there are server you can plug memory cards like that while the server is running, and HDD too. Mabye you must have heard the word hot swapping that stands for replacing the HDD while the server is running. Anyway technologiy in evolving rapidly so we may heard techno news that will be hard to beleive. Recentley AMD release their QUAD processors for the server market having 8 MB cache and apart from that supporting VT and cloud computing concept in processor level.
