It was the 32bit, running in WOW64. I downloaded the 64bit patch after you went. It didn't load.

Well, it might not get difficult, unless the developers omitted certain algorithms as they were too CPU intensive under 32bit. It will sure get faster, on a game which uses complex maths such as chess. (I guess :D)

Yeah! It would have so many nice things ne! As you said, more power insentive algorythms could be used to please gamers ne!!! R the ny native 64 games by the way?

These are considered native:
* Dreadnought
* Far Cry
* Half-Life 2 (Automatically retrieved through Steam)
* Unreal Tournament 2004

The main exe is 64bit. In FarCry, there is no noticeable speed increase, but they have improved the texture quality without dropping the performance, which is in fact a performance enhancement.

Almost all the other games will run in Windows x64 environment in WOW64 mode. They are compatible, but doesn't run natively in 64bit. All the games I have installed right now are compatible with Vista x64. :)
