Hi everyone,

I'm a swedish woman trying to learn sinhala. Must say that it is not very easy. Found this site and was thinking that some one might be abel to help me with this sentenses.

Mata oya nathi wanawada.

Oya nathi unoth mama maranawa.

Mata swedish eganaganna ona.

    I was in Sri Lanka for my first time this year and fell in love wiht the country. Going again in august, just for holiday. But in february next year I going to live in this beautiful country for a couple of month. I think it is paradise! :)

    I am greatful for all the help I can get!! :) Thank you!!

    better way to learn sinhala, talk with sinhala people and learn.. you will talk like most sinhala people
    just to add to this, ensure that you learn from someone who you trust or you'll end up learning only the swear words and the impolite form of the language, which if you use in public, will get you into trouble.

    I learn most from books I bought. I have one book about social culture in Sri Lanka and one book with ugly words that is big NO NO in public. So I look up every word so I dont get tricked. :)
    If I answer with: No, you Will never lose me. How do I say that?

    Thank you for being so friendly, that is another thing i love about Lanka, everyone is nice and helpfull.
