I can say something about Indian Bikes.
1st select the bike capacity you need.

If its below 150cc, I select Bajaj Discover.

Goodside
Good power
good mileage
stylish
good comfort and comfortable

Badside
Only 4 gears
Tight gears (Usual in Indian bikes)
Low quality

If you need 150cc or more, just go to Honda UNICORN.

Best 5 speed gearbox among Indian bikes. (very smooth)
Very smooth silent Engine.
Mono suspension
Great control and confort
Tuffup tubes in Rear tire
Good quality.

Badside
Mono suspension doesnt provide comfort like a mono suspension in a Japan bike

I recommend HeroHonda Hunk and CBZ extream also.

But compared to Honda Unicorn, they got,
less mileage 40-46Kmpl
better power (but vibrates in high rev)
no mono suspension
CBZ extream only for tall people

I personally don't like Apache RTR since it got
bad riding position (cause back pain)
less quality

I can say these since I did a huge research when I was buying a bike few months back. Finally I bought Honda Unicorn and Im more than satisfied with it.

And YAMAHA has released new bike called R15. Its very stylish.

Ya it should expensive.
It got 6 gears and both front and rear disk brakes. But very low mileage like 35-45Kmpl.
And these are single cilinder bikes. So don't expect Honda CBR 250 or Hornet 250cc engine sound(beat) from this bike.


Earlier I used Suzuki GN-125cc Japan and Indian bikes cannot be compared with Japan bikes. But they got less mileage. And now it costs about Rs. 2,45,000. You can buy China version for Rs.1,55,000. But no quality like Japan one.
