You are a joke.. but for someone more serious who is reading...

Learn and be very fluent in the basic programming languages (C/C++/PHP/ASP/Python/Perl/assembly), How databases work (fluent in SQL), how network's work (from the low level physical layer all the way up to all the protocol specifics), take a course or read up on operating system architecture, become fluent using *nix shells, keep up with current threats and design flaws, read up on common design flaws (XSS vulnerabilities, buffer overflows), how web servers work (Apache, IIS). And of course social engineering.. why bother hacking when you can just ask.

Once you do all of the above, then you should consider getting into hacking.

Just reading and following isn't hacking, thats being a lame script kiddie.

It's a waste to read, maybe get your introduction to networking and security tools, but in no way will you be closer to making your systems more secure or break somoene elses machine . It's more or less focused on testing and hardening systems rather than the essense of black hat computer security.

Having a certified ethical hacker certificate is like saying "I followed a recipie book or went to a cooking class, now I am a master chef at the nations best restaurant next day"

Try hackthissite.org and complete their challenges. They start off real easy and become harder. Finish all the challenges and you will get a simple intro to web based network security.
