IT Occupations retain high ceilings with over 15,000 ceiling value
Engineers over 11,000
Teachers over 14,000
Registered Nurse 17859
Trade Occupations over 50,000 with Electrician at 1st with 8,021 ceiling value, Carpenters and Joiners at 6812, Motor Mechanics at 5205, Chef 2,256, Painting Trades Workers at 3303
Management Consultant 4526
Occupation ceiling values are based on a percentage of stock employment figures for each occupation. Employment figures are provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and represent the number of people employed in Australia in each occupation.
Occupation ceilings do not apply to State or Territory Nominated, Employer Sponsored or Business Innovation and Investment visa subclasses.
For Accountants (2211) the occupational ceiling also reflects volumes in other skilled visa categories. - This pretty much summarize that 189 invite for accounting would be harder due to 1000 distributed in other visa programs like State nominations, Employer sponsored visas.
