Actress Gayesha to enter politics

Adding to the list of the string of possible actresses who are to be candidates for the upcoming Provincial Council elections, former Miss Sri Lanka and popular actress Gayesha Perera said today that she too had received invitations from parties to contest the polls.

“Yes I have received invitations from several parties. I was working for the government earlier and my decision will be based on the fact that where I could serve the people the best. I’m yet to take a decision yet about contesting the polls which I will do shortly,” the actress told Daily Mirror Online a short while ago..
