I think if there was an export certificate regarding biosecurity it is not an issue. If not any live fruit or seed or plant needs clearance and can be confiscated.
Such innocent importations can create lot of issues in biosecurity. Such acts had resulted in resistant anti biotics and some mutant stains of pathogenic mirobaterials.



I do not know the bribe . This is the scientific and legal explanation. So do not import any live food items(processed items like chocolate , biscuits, jams are OK as the process would have killed microbes)
