he z talking about the modem machan. not the adsl connection
two have adsl at ur home u have 2 have two things
1. adsl connection from an isp ( probably slt ) ( donno about any other service provider provides broadband service)
2. adsl modem or an router.
if u have multiple pc s at ur home and u want to have adsl connection for everyone , then u have 2 go 4 a router.
or else if it z 4 a single pc modem will be the cheapest.
types of adsl packages available
1. home express (price Rs 2250 excluding vat, down link speed 512 kbps, up link speed 128kpbs)
2. office express (price somewhere around rs 6500, down link speed 2 mbps, up link speed 512kpbs)
both the above packages have unlimited download capacity
3. slt broadband or something (dont remember d exact name)
but rs 1000. , down link speed 512 kbps, up link speed 128kpbs
you can only download 1 GB . if u download more than 1GB you will be additionally charged depends on the amount u download
