Where exactly do they say that they give a dedicated 2mbps speed for your link ?
ALL broadband providers say, they give a MAXIMUM of x mbps.
Do understand what that means.

If its a dedicated 2mbps, you need to get a leased line which will cost around 80k.
machan, they havent said something like that to me.

but if each and every connection is providing a speed like 2KB/s, then i have no need to buy a 2mbps connection since a 256k will perform in the same speed.

they have

512kbps

1mbps

2mbps

4mbps

connection and THEY HAVE DIFFERENT price tags on them! have you noticed something like that?

if they are the same, why is the price difference???

why people pay for high speed connections???

does that mean anything to you?

i dont have any extra money or any kind of a pain to pay an extra amount to the SLT.

I expect something from my 2mbps connection and I hope that "2mbps" means somethin.

btw, thanks for helping me

512kbps - means speeds up to a Maximum of 512kbps

1mbps - means speeds up to a Maximum of 1mbps

2mbps - means speeds up to a Maximum of 2mbps

4mbps - means speeds up to a Maximum of 4mbps

connection and THEY HAVE DIFFERENT price tags on them! have you noticed something like that?
Obviously! they are doing a business not a charity.
So what people pay for is the occasional maximum speed. Not the constant speed.

If they are to do completely fair business, they have to charge on per second, per speed basis which NONE of the providers do.

a connection rated at 10GBps could have the maximum of 10GB. and if its constant speed is 1kb/s, thats not gonna work!

we dont expect them to do charity since we are paying a premium price for the connection. thats why we expect at least a 2mbps connection to be giving a 512k performance. if everyone is gonna work according to that dunnoth kannam kala duwannam conecpt, internet connections in sl would become 0.000....0001 kbps or something like that.

i dont think its a trick by SLT cos if they do something like Dialog doing we should feel difference as well.

but im getting 230 - 235KB/s all the day without having any problem.

yes machan, dialog is doing a hell of tricks to take the advantage of the situation.

but since both of us pay the same amount, i get a very very crappy connection with a speed of 70 KB/s in the day time and the connection is being dropped at least once a 5min.

they maybe taking the advantage of the increasing amount of customers
