Take your office wherever you go with Airtel’s Fax and Data Service. You can send and receive data/fax documents, access the Internet, email accounts as well as corporate databases when you are on the move.

    How to Use
Connect your cellphone to the laptop/PC via PCMCIA card (or Nokia data suite) using an interface cable and install the relevant communication software like Procom. Compose a fax in any application, like Ms - Word. Select the fax driver as your printer in the print option of your application (e.g. Ms - word) and dial the fax number to send a fax. To receive a fax, your caller dials the fax number (which will be provided to you) and on connecting the cellphone to your laptop, you can instantly receive the sent documents.

What you require is a Microsoft dial- up connection on your laptop/PC and enter the phone number of your ISP.

    Send and Receive E-mails
Use your Microsoft dial - up connection on your laptop/PC and enter the phone number of your e-mail service provider or your corporate e-mail server and you can read and send all your mails.

To make use of this service you need the following:
A laptop computer/ or your desktop PC.
A data compatible GSM Handset capable of sending and receiving data.
Connection between your cellular phone and the computer - Most Cellular phones require PCMCIA Cellular data card to be inserted into the PCMCIA slot of the computer. The card is connected to the cellphone using an interface cable. Some software modems such as the Nokia Data Suite 2.0 are installed on the computer and emulate the functions of the PCMCIA card.
Communication software – that allows the PCMCIA card to connect to a GSM phone so that any software application like Ms- Word, Ms- Excel, etc can be sent or received.
