COLOMBO (News 1st); Russian Ambassador Levan S. Dzhagaryan called on Sri Lankan Anura Kumara Dissanayake and handed the congratulatory message on behalf of the President of Russia Vladimir Putin as well as the invitation to take part in the BRICS summit in Kazan on October 22-24, 2024.

The parties exchanged views on the current volume of bilateral cooperation and some issues of international agenda.

The Ambassador took the opportunity to present the Russian position on the Ukrainian conflict and goals of the Russian Special Military Operation in the region.
