Life is a game and it's a fake, everyone cloak themselves in an identity they like to associate themselves with. so it's naturally fake
On the internet it's mostly that people prefer to stay "anonymous" not "fake". It's a fact that people tends to be much more open and aggressive when they are not facing an opponent and is behind a phone line or a computer screen. And being anonymous make them even more assertive.
I believe being anonymous gives you an outlet for your deeper thoughts while keeping your "real life identity" intact. Being anonymous online is an alternative culture and there are things which comes with it. Well anonymity is not a thing from the internet but also in real life too, there are situations where things has to be done in anonymous manner, sensitive things which might affect they society.
On EK there are different types of people from all walks of the society. Lankans urban and rural, local and expat and all with different ideals and mindsets. So you will see a clash of ideals on this forum (actually it is what a forum is for) So naturally someone can be jubilant while another is hurt. The identity each and every member assumes doesn't matter at all, but what matters is the ideals he/she champions for.
The fact I need to emphasize is that you are fake and I am fake too, we both are just "identities" assumed to cloak our reality.
