At the moment, Intel processors are far better. This will most probably change in a couple of months.

my opinion z itz depend on ur wrkz............
It's used to be like that until Core 2 came to existence. (AMD had an undisputed performance lead in games) Now, Intel dominates in every field.

But it might soon change with Barcelona

You can only compare a 3GHz AthlonX2 (X2 6000+) with a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo (E6600). Still X2 6000+ loses in most benchmarks to E6600. Remember, there are two more speed grades in Core 2 Duo (E6700 and X6800) which are untouchable.

And then there are the Intel Kentsfield too :D

AMD... sumtym bak intel was ruling n now AMD rules!!
Wrong.

Intel ruled 2003-2004 H1 (but not 100% - in some areas it was beaten, but overall better position than AMD)
AMD ruled 2004 H2-2005 H1 (but not 100% - in some areas it was beaten, but overall better position than Intel)
AMD ruled 2005 H2-2006 H1 (100%)
Intel rules 2006 H2 up to now (100%)

INTEL is da best..!! who needz over clocked stuff.. n those extra fans n coolers..!!
I don't agree with you there.

Intel CPUs are better than AMD's, in both stock clocks and overclocked clocks. Imagine, almost all the Core 2 Duos can be overclocked to over 3GHz even with the stock Intel HSF.

I didn't get your point.

What do you mean by an option, and what do you mean by always overclocked?

intel: u can overclock ur processor using either inbuilt o such s/ws u get frm around..!! but it doesn't cum overclockd by the manufacturer..

AMD: by the manufacture himself.. the AMD processor's core voltage has been fixed as it has to function as an overclocked processor (to stand the heat n stuff). so AMD comes out from the factory after goin thru da over clockin process.. so it's pre overclokd by the manufacture to it's displayd speed.. besides a sempron 1800+ does not run at 1.8Ghz. it runs a little less dan dat.. n u can only overclck a jump frm around 200-350Mhz max..!
