you can't say all media tried to destroy SF....derana was middle the whole time...and the sirasa group tried to hang the president....he got plenty of support but SF spent most of his time complaining...and complaining...
you can't blame MR for that.....he can't help it if ppl wanted to believe him over SF....ppl had access to the sirasa WHOLE group & derana...but they didn't choose to listen to them....
oh you think...they don't want our military secrets...like how many women our soliders raped...?
or how many children we killed....
how many innocent bystanders were killed by our army....
what if they wanted to blackmail us into doing something like...sy....letting them build a nuke base here so they can bomb some country....?....best locations for nukes sri lanka...so what will happen IF sf was told to lie about these things...TO GET THE JOB? what then?
So I see u made biggest mistake of the Century which our government too did.....and which has back fired on us.....u have accepted all the wrong doings within the war.....whos the patriot or the traitor????well that's what you called SF...............now what about your statement?

An yeah why would USA want our Secrets anyway, which they already know coz there are the one's who provided us with Satellite and other overhead intelligence for the war......u think they want our so called secrets besides that they have 2 strong intelligences which are connected by a strong network.....so basically they know and are aware of everything that's going in each and every country....so no one need to tell em that.....
They want SF coz of his talents and Military tactics....I hope he takes the offer....people in SL forget what the person has done very soon....he need to concentrate on his future rather than our the Salvation of good for nothing Sri Lankans who does have any courtesy or respect for a War Hero....

might be...but you know...i don't care....MR promised me a LTTE free land...and he gave me one....
maybe most ppl were simply put off by SF's complaining.....what kind of leader would he be if he cannot even manage his resources to help win an election....

Media exposure....MR & only govt media....Sf had access to Sirasa group, back then swranawahini derana...and most radio stations....not to mention all the posters etc....
heck MR was handicapped coz he had to deal with commonwealth as well....while SF just had to answer few questions and prepare a few documents for them to see....
if you for once accept there had been no cheating...MR did a good job....if MR had cheated...that proves SF would not have survived in this political environment...and would have been corrupted soon....

i admit dude...Sf was one of the major forces of ridding sri lanka of the LTTE...
but he is no politician man...i liked him better as a general...not as a complaining politician...
