Notification area drop down was not copied from android it was there since the first ios version.

Well my friend, everyone do copy things from one another don't you think? But do you think the iPhone is a "totally new" invention? If you think so, you are totally mistaken, and have no idea what you are talking about. But one thing for sure, Apple did started this Smart-Phone wave. If it was not for Steve Jobs, this concept won't come to public this sooner.
So how about be realistic. For Sri Lanka, I strongly think Android suites very well. A lot of devices to choose from, means anyone can afford, lot's of apps and.. one of the best competitor for iOS.

As a Software Engineer iOS Best Good
Its true Apple has invented some fancy technologies, but not everything. And NO apple did not invent the mouse. Again Multi-touch was there even 10 years before the iphone. Talking about inventions, did Apple invent the Smartphone? If Apple didn't invent the smartphone, then they copied according to your logic. Inspiring and copying are two things. In reality Every OS has its highs and lows. Finally how the hell iOS is best for software engineers? You need to have apple hardware to develop which is terrible where in Android you can develop on any platform.

Yes apple found those and big thanks to them but how many mac users are there? if they are the best why more ppl still use PCs? and most of all what does inventing mouse have to do with mobile Operating systems?
And you know what's funny iPhone and iPad(iOS in basic) don't support mouse but Android does. Irony much???
Ok let's get in to open source and closed source. As a software engineer if you say closed source is better then you must be working for them or just a regular iSheep. because open source brings ideas of so many people in to the table. If Android was not open source it would not have come all the way up to 2012 and go neck and neck with iOS.
