Actually it was a faulty HDMI cable causing problem- unfortunately monitor did not come with an HDMI cable had to use one lying around.

Image quality and color accuracy are fantastic now- maybe even better than the MX- this has an updated panel from LG. Also black and whites are definitely better than the MX I had.
Only problem is this has only one HDMI port- the MX had two.
