Anyone using AHCI mode with Intel Matrix Storage Driver?

    Where I'm now
    Ive disabled the secondry SATA + SIS SATA +Firewire+Network + Parallel+ serial almost evrything.Does it have a performance increase.I disabled them to avoid been shown many things in those panels.

    U guys are gr8.Always remind me of which I forget.
    Here is the answer why nVIDIA shows the SATA drives as removable drives.
    some nvidia guy said:
    According to Serial ATA international organization latest spec, SATA hard drives is hot swappable, which will have same function as USB devices.
    To avoid date corruption with write cache enabled, SATA hard drives have to be stopped with the "safely remove hardware" when you want to disconnect them.
    Please note that Windows will NOT allow you to remove a boot drive / system volume within the Windows utility.

    Why does it show two channels as in IDE?

    SATA is partly removeable - hotplug feature is a SATA specifications, although I don't know how it works.

    Edit: Ok, now I know :D

    Got B-R on lappy!! YAY!! how is it?hows the performance while seeing them?Is it worth the premium for B-R?Do you added it la8 or stock?

    He shouldn't have a problem with BluRay with the GF8600 GPU. Only problem would be obtaining BluRay discs :D

    Blu-Ray works well on my lappy...I'm using AnyDVD-HD to rip them into HDD(Eat 40-50GB per Disk if you are not not encored with DivX)

    They handle it independently for some reason.What about me disabling things?

    The irony is u use HD to rip Blu-Ray :D.U still get them illegally?

    Hmm have some problems... BTW my friend work as a flight stwrt and he bring Blu-ray disks from Indian Rent centre(We can keep 7 days so when he go back he'll return it and bring new one)

    They knw.Thats why they buy it dirty cheap after production ended and use it for 10 years.Squeeze the every little of it without any upgrade.
