Still it looks stunning machan....5/5 for that...may be apple are concentrating on the look factor more than performance...
remember MOTOROLA's V3 was an instant hit even thought it had nothing to boast about, except the looks ;) ;) ;) ;)
but i totally agree with you...an optical drive is an obvious necessity :D :D :D

no,u dont hv to purchse a seperate drive for that,u can use our existing optical driver on our PC/Laptop,but we need to install a software, which comes with the lappy,in order to access it

Guyz this is what I think!

This lappy is definitely for people on the move and its definitely not a desktop replacement model!

Being that how many of us actually juggle around with CD/DVD's while on the move? Honestly I don't do it so often! besides now CD/DVD are not the only media which can hold data, thumb drives and stuff are already averaging 4GB..

I think that's what Apple's idea here! and if you really need a op. drive it you can carry it in your back pack separately!

Yup, no news about it! Might not be very powerful! Anyway the battery life is impressive! 5 hours... its like almost 3 times than my laptop  , I think its largely because of the fact that the specs are bit on the lighter side and consumes less power!

But battery replacement seems to be expensive US$120+
