Police kill suspects in Batticaloa child murder case
In what has now become an all too familiar story, police said they had shot dead three suspects today involved in the abduction and murder of a child in Batticaloa when the suspects attempted to attack the police when they were taken to the scene of the crime.

Plenty of these incidents now of Police meting out instant justice. Maybe that is the solution for this sudden crime wave as we have suspended the death sentences as well.

A very familiar pattern. But, good riddance! However, I wonder if these guys could have revealed something interesting if they were alive.
When we hear this story we very well know what has happened. But please ensure that the culprits are the real murderers before allowing them to throw bombs at you etc. etc.
I fully support the SL Police.If a trcherous crime/murder is commited it is useless to preach bana to the criminals.Even though the verdict of death sentence is announced,they never be hung.They are better looked after by the government with the help of poor tax payers money and will be freed on a significant day like Vesak,Poson or international womens day.

DM, why ae you trying to make this as issue. This is the Best punishment for these Criminals. I salute the brave police offices who take this decission. Cause we all know SL judical system. Coldbolded murder, nothing happens may be max of 20year prision. Even if they get sentence to death, they will be pardon and sent to life, after a while they come out. No use, the best way to punish this criminals is this, finish them off in the police itself. This way, the punishment is given fast without making the lawyers rich. DM, please these are no major issues that you should conisder.
We know what has happened. Summary punishment! Legally wrong. But deterrent. A way of crushing this type of crimes. But, please ensure that the culprits are the real murderers, before you take them to show hidden weapons etc.

Capital punishment for any murder is acceptable. However, How police conclude so soon with out proper investigation. Who knows whether an innocent person gets punishment. So this method must be stoped and general public must be informed before punishments are given. Nifla
I think this is a good move by the police..because even if you take these punks for a trail or lock them up in a cell some minister or a big shot will come and rescue them. If they did somthing bad they deserve it.If the police continue this punks who do things like these will think twise befor they act.. WELLDONE SRI LANKA POLICE
