ASUS P5B SE memory crashes

    I installed TRANSCENDER DDR 2, 677, 1gb*2 rams as dual channel. Total memory is 2048mb. But system crashes when playing games and writing cds Mobo is p5b se.
    Please help me...........:( :(

    Thanks for comments. Machan memory configurations and everything fine. Also suppoted speed and maximum memory.

    What I'd recommend you do is get memset and go into windows. I see you only have 1gb of ram so you can get memtest for windows, and it should work pretty well. keep dropping stuff left and right and see if memtest errors or the computer crashes. That and you can use spi to do maybe 1m or 32m to check for errors.

    I can't remember too much about those subtimings, but the major one to look at is trfc. 42 is prettyPPC loose. try setting to 35 or even 30 and see if it'll like it. I'm guessing your corsairs aren't d9 so 35 may be as good as it gets there.

    try 4-4-4-10 as well.

    oh yeah, be sure to turn lens solutionoff static read control as well

    30 gives no post, 35 is the min that works for me.

    4-4-4-10 doesn't post for me.

    I'm mainly just worried about the 4 subtimings.
