First of all, that's bad luck.

But I have a question. What is the power supply unit u used? Because, usually if it is a VGA card fault, it will crash the driver, NOT the whole PC. Crysis is a real stress tester for the VGA. For example, I can't run my VGA at 700MHz clock with Crysis, but can do 720MHz with many games. Every time when it becomes unstable, Windows unloads the driver and restarts the driver with default clocks and you are done.

And, it is true that these dumbasses don't know much about PC stuff than the regular Joe, and that is a FACT. Can't really do anything about that. I know, it is sad, but that is the way it is. You can't compare one with another, because ALL OF THEM ARE THE SAME!!!
It's an FSP 700W as he mentioned, so it is out of the equation, and those ppl have checked the VGA with an ASUS 750W something :D
btw he may be on XP not Vista.. hehe

yeh, we have to deal with luck when we buying from them. but if its a genuine shop, we shoud be protected with their after sales service.

yes i have seen that driver crashing thing when i was overclocking an Nvidia card i had previously. Completely replaced my RAM sticks. did the mem test. then I did the CPU stress test to verify that the problem is not with the CPU or the RAM. and they tested it with a whole new setup. not only with the crysis, but also with the stress test softwares, it was crashing. it could be a gpu ram related problem?

machan, i used to get things from a PC house located in somewhere away from colombo. their service was pretty good. and PChouses other than the one in the unity and the mc is really different. The Pchouse in the unity has no difference between other shops in the same building. actually, all of them are the same. they do their business in very similar way.

the worst place is the shop located in the lane in the opposite direction of the MC.
there is a tall, dark guy with loose pants about to fall down, he will kill himself without replacing if you take faulty stuff to him.

its a very small place. but they are supplying stuff to the unity stores. if you have accidently bought something supplied by them and you find it faulty, !!! then you are in a big trouble.

Yes with international warranty (Mainly Apple/ASUS Notebooks & other parts with international warranty )

thats great. if there is something like that, we are always protected. someone in the overclock.net also adviced me to use the 3 year international warranty that i have on the card. I was thinking of doing that if barclays guys didnt replaced it.

Something similar happen to me some times ago!!!! I went and asked for an ADSL Router. they said that they have only the D-LINK products and I saw them having a lot of D-LINK products in ther shelve.

The guy asked me several times what I want to buy is an ADSL router or a Broadband router. each and every time, answered cleary telling that I want an ADSL Router.

When I go home and tried to test the router,, i found that it is a broadband one and a modem is required to use it.

I call them and said the story, they said they could replace it but i have to pay the extra money for the ADSL Router. But when i go there, they gave me very old and dirty looking router. the box was torn and worn. and said that it is the only ADSL router they have and they specially kept it for me because I called them............................

i had to buy it. and after about three days, it stopped working. i stil have it.didnt go there to replace it. i bought another one called comtrend from somewhere else. i could post pics of the product and the bill as well.
