yep but meat eaters dont hav to eat more often like others, dey get lotof calories also dey rest most of the day but for grass eaters must eat two third of the day to get da calories dey want, either way both hav thir benefits

Yeah both sides does have ups and downs...

But in a typical African scenario... when it comes to finding food, the amount of energy that goes for hunting and NOT to forget the RISK invloved... which clearly seen in this video.... if a LION gets injured he will sure die of starvation!!!

And they always hunt in packs, so whatever food they bring must be shared unlike herbivores!!

Yeah! Agreed! For me.. A full grown Male Lions are the most majestic animals in the wild.... there's no doubt about it... other than that just maybe... a tusker elephent could come a bit closer to being majestic! :)

But unfortunatly they are NOT the most successful carnivores :( The most sucsessful ones are the ones that you just mentioned in your post.. the UGLY Hyenas, they are more stronger in packs because they are more organized than Lions and have AMAZING STAMINA!!! But ofcourse not a BIT majestic as a lion!!:lol:

Animals have great war tactics. That's why still we call several moves in the battle field using animal motions. (Leopard crawl, Monkey walk, duck walk etc.)

It all happens just to fulfil Darvin's theories I guess. Survival of the fittest. Irrespective of the 'number of legs' all uses same techniques for their survival.

Yeah! Hyenas are such a nuisance, they will kill Lion cubs, Leopard cubs any cub basically  though for a single Lion a hyena is not a match.. its very hard to catch them without the GANG  As for my understanding Hyena's jaws are ROCK solid and puts more pressure on the victim than Lion's.. But the GREATEST weapon that LION has is its MANE... that makes him looks bigger and its a definite advantage for him, and they've done studies that the darker the MANE gets... that LION is far more aggressive and gets others respect!!

Chimps are more intelligent than all of these, and also share 99% gene similarity with human.. also understandably their lives are more complicated... they've got politics going on in their system.. that's.. as we know.... far more dangerous :lol:

And I must say gotta give credit to these Wild Life film makers.. they are doing a superb job.. BUT not all of them.. some exaggerate too much.. they think they even know the exact thought of the Animal  its Animal's show... and guess who's doing all the talking...:lol: I particulaly like Sir David Attenborough's show!
