It is nice to see people helping each other here for BCS studies.
There are many self studying students here (including me), and this thread is very useful for them.
Keep it up....

For freshers,
You'll should not want go to the same institute for BCS lectures,for an example if you are an IDM,esoft,CINEC,matrix,etc student & if you heard about a better lecturer than your present lecturer for a specific subject in another institute then you can join with that institute only for that specific subject, it is your choice (But it might cost you lit bit).

For self studying students,
Refer forums like this and also there are plenty of IT resources online.

Generally, refer BCS examiner's reports as much as you'll can (I could not do this properly because I started to study when the exam dates are so close) & don't wait till the exam dates come closer, just start your studies now.
