Im having hard time choosing a career path. I don't like software development much. But I like web development and anything related to internet based apps. Im willing to start BCS HEQ in this week.

I'll be starting both certificate and diploma steps as I need to finish the course soon. Please let me know, what Modules I should select in order to be an expert in web development. I have plans to do Masters as well.

thanks a lot... :D

In the certificate level all the three subjects are compulsory, so you have to do all three.

In the diploma level only Professional Issues in IS Practice is compulsory and you have the opportunity to select three optional modules. As far as I know there is no web development specific module in diploma level, but there is one in the PGD level which is known as "Web Engineering" which mainly focuses on web related technologies such as php and xml.

I can make you some suggestions for you to select modules in Diploma level. Both web and software developers have to interact with databases. As a developer a knowledge on Databases is essential. So select "Database Systems". There is another module which is known as "Object Oriented Programming" in the diploma level. Since oop concepts are very important for a developer you can select that one also. In addition "Principles of Internet Technologies syllabus" also focuses on different internet technologies. You can go for it too.

These are just my suggestions. Select whatever modules you want. But select something which will be beneficial for your area of interest
Good luck
