Dialog HSDPA has no future as long as they keep this FUP shit!

In Sri Lanka, we have 3 HSPA service providers. Out of them, 2 providing unlimited broadband packages(Dialog and Airtel). FUP(fair usage policy) is the problem of Dialog. otherwise it is the best HSPA Connection from Speed and other Value added services. Im getting 1.2-1.6mbps average download speed from dialog.

Mobitel is the fastest of all. getting 1.6-2.0mpbs (sometimes 2+). but they dont offer any unlimited packages to customers.

So my friends, do u know the actual download speed of Airtel?? coz i got something around 250-450kbps download speed. thats sooo... slow when comparing to the other service providers.

If you are a Airtel HSPA user, may i know the details about your download and upload speed (specially download)??

Sri Lanka Dialog says VRS costs not yet known
April 07, 2009 (LBO) – Sri Lanka's top celco, Dialog Telekom says it had offered a voluntary retirement scheme to employees as part of a broader cost-cutting exercise, but the total costs were not known as yet.
Dialog Telekom, a unit of Telekom Malaysia, as well as other operators have had revenues and profits hit by a raging price war.

The costs of the scheme would be published with the next quarterly statement, the firm said in a stock exchange filing.

Responding to a media report which said the firm was looking to shed 1,500 staff, Dialog said the firm has not "published or specified" a target and costs would depend on the number of employees accepting the scheme

The scheme was applicable to all employees in the executive and management grades, the company said.

this is not for all of them. anyone can apply. decision is up to management. however this applicable for over staff ( departments).

hm, But 1500 means a lot of from Dialog? Am i wrong? I heard, high management target to 30% staff reduction in Dialog.

ya. it can be. so many wrong things done in the company Restructure. huge number of managers and unwanted executive positions like... now they are going to correct that error
