WMP 11 the best player cummon guys...lol...its good but its not the best player...it cant play a thing without proper codecs..if u want a player that play every damn thing u throw at it use VLC player from Video Lan..if ur a lover of beefy graphics this player is not very pretty and is hard to configure...(remember this player dont need any codec it has all of the play capability built in)

i reccomend using Klite Mega Codec pack for novice users..this codec pack comes with Media Player Classic and a load of codecs that will play all the files u download without any problems (it has a registered version Core AVC for h.264 HD play back this codec is the fastest H.264 decoder available)

and also if u need a very good MP3 player use Foobar2000 this is one of the fastest Mp3 players available..it has a no nonesense tabbed interface and features the highest quality Direct show audio decoder available..it is build by the former nullsoft (ding ding Winamp) programmer Peter Pawlowski..

Windows Media Player with Vista Codec Pack is good enough for me.
I like to keep everything in top notch and having all the video thumbnails inside the Videos folder is a must. You need a proper codec pack or at least the individual codecs of the video formats you have, for the video thumbnails to show up in Explorer.
Otherwise, I would like JetAudio. It is a class app, but I don't require it because WMP does most of the things that JetAudio does. Only thing I miss from JetAudio is the ability to continue a video from the place you last stopped it, even after closing the player. And also JetAudio used a lot less RAM and CPU cycles than WMP and even the shabby looking VLC player last time I checked.
