Beware of Barclays Computers !

Hi friends .. this is a thing which happened to me recently

I went to Barclays Computers Unity Plaza branch to buy a laptop for my friend and we selected a laptop and paid the amount.
Then the sales guys asked to go us for the barclays main branch (near unity plaza , babmalapitiya ) and collect the laptop.

We went there and the people there asked to wait for some time and they will bring the laptop from the stores.

After sometime the laptop was brought . and its was the same laptop which we looked at the display @ unity showroom (Scratched,Used,Dirt) , they have packet it nicely and brought it to the head office.
Who wants to buy a laptop which was running in the display in the showroom 24×7 ??

After arguing they agreed to give a new laptop . and it was came with proper seals and turned on for the first time in front of me !

it was nicely planned ! .. asked me to go to their head office and wait and brought the same display laptop !

So beware.. make sure to look for the seals and ask them to remove the seals in front of you when buy

This is only informative what happed…

ගත්තේ අර 3G තියෙන Sim දාන්න පුලුවන් netbook 1ක්,,ගෙදර ඈවිත් බලනකොට ඒ netbook 1 Sim දාන්න තෑනක් නෑහෑ,,මම ඉතින් call කරලා කිව්වම හෙට ගේන්න කිව්වා,,අරගෙන ගිහින් check කරපුවම වෑඩේ ඈත්ත,,ඊටපස්සේ එවෙලෙම වෑඩි රස්තයාදුවක් නෑතුව Sim දාන්න පුළුවන් අලුත් 1ක් දුන්නා,,අපරාදේ කියන්න බෑහෑ ඒ පොර නම් හොදට දන්නවා customersලගේ හිත දිනාගන්න,,එවෙලේ අලුත් 1ක් ගෙනල්ලා packing කඩලා,,මෑන්ස්ගෙම sim 1 දාලා internet ගිහින් පෙන්නුවා,,

This kind of problem is common in shops where you look at the item in the display, make payment and collect item at the issue counter.

Try shops where you can select the item you will buy first, have a look at it carefully and then make payment and make sure you are taking the item you examined.

Of course most shops will only let you examine item in display until you say you will buy. Careless customers can accidentally damage things! So checkout the feature in the display item, and then tell show item that you will buy.

Some shops wont agree to this. You can always politely insist or pick another shop. If many customers avoid shops that wont let the customer examine the item that is sold to the customer, gradually the shops will learn to agree and their "you take what we give" attitude will change.
