what is your system...restarting can occur due to many reasons..is it continualy restrating or is it just only when you open certain applications?ex firefox

if ram is faulty computer will beep at restart.or crash and stuck with a blue screen.clean your ram slots and blow off.clean your ram pins.Go to safe mode and see if restarts.if not then a application or driver error.Check your cpu temperatures overheating can restart the machine too after a while.
