I haven't used these for music.. But have tried for audio tests on bone conduction. The technology isn't new and has been used for hearing aids. This was the primary technique for those with eardrum issues.
Normally eardrums convert soundwaves into vibrations sending them to the cochlear - This is AIR conduction.

When soundwaves travel through bones in your jaw and skull. They end up in exactly the same place — the cochlear — This bypasses the eardrum. - and is termed bone conduction.

The major advantage is that this does NOT block the ambient sound you pickup from your ear. So wearing this and listening to music, will not cause you not to hear the passing ambulance sirens and get hit on the road.

Can there be interference as you are by passing eardrum and it will also feed a different sound wave? So does it have restrictions to quality of sound . At the same time it has advantage as environment sound feed is not disturbed.
