    Original :
Ur PSU is actually a Huntsky 650W one Re branded, it can deliver 700W @ 50c but it pulls a massive 1000W from the power line to do that, so its efficiency is only adequate up to about 550W, you could have bought a much better PSU for that money, better luck next time buddy.

Edit: I messed up the Model Number of the PSU he has, its not made by Huntky, but by Channelwell for Bestbuy (Rocketfish is owned by Bestbuy). and its original power rating is 550W.

who said , I said IF
my power requirement in stock speeds is like 480w , bt to overclock i need more like 600w, To overclock my vga ,I need good 12V rails, and it is better to be future proof.
which means your power bill goes up as well. :P

so that over clocking @ 600w is pulling 1000w from the mains! good luck with the electricity bills buddy.

Actually im not sure his PC pulls a 600W from the mains, he has a dual core processor and a 8800GT so the maximum he will be pulling can be 450W in the worst case, his PSU has about 82% efficiency at that wattage so its not that bad, but the thing is this PSU is too expensive for the poor performance it offers, you can get a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750 Quad for about 130$, that PSU has a max 89.2% effciency and the minimum is 82% at full load.

OK all of you here before start babbling about how much power this will consume...IT WILL NOT CONSUME THE WHOLE AMOUNT OF POWER BY IT SELF, 700W means you can pull a 700W out of the PSU @ the given efficiency (about 70% for this one at full load), so don't go saying "this will increase your electricity bill" and stupid things like that when some one gets a high wattage PSU. Read this and learn

You're talking about huntkey rite? I searched but couldn't find a huntkey similar to this. the efficency is 80%(minimum @ full load) , so it is 560w+ for sure, But most probably the output power hangs around 580w

I searched every nook and corner in SL, bt couldn't find any, in SL retailers say that psus above 600w are for servers :P and the prices are to high. a decent 650w with 80 efficiency costs more than 20k and I will never buy those generics which are avail at unity, who can guarant their efficency ? but i got this for 15k, so im already lucky :D

Rocketfish hadanne 700w power supply witharai :P:P http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/c-...cessories.aspx

 Rocketfish may catch fish and fly rockets but I am hell as sure they dont make any PSUs.The PSU you have posted pictures here is from Channelwell.A notorious company with a bad past and a good future in PSU industry.:D

Unfortunately you have a bad supply.:P All gigabyte PSUs in the past screwed up coz they had the same PSU inside.
The UL number never lie.Its E161451.A bad PSU.Well considering the crap we have here its better but not as worth as you hype.:P

Yes im talking about a Huntkey my bad, Iwe posted the exact Huntkey model above, Ur PSU can deliver 700W but at the cost of very low efficiency, hell it can go up to 770W according to Hardware Secrets, but at those power levels DC Noise margins are out of spec and can be dangerouse to all your hardware.

You should have gotten a Amacrox AX600-S they are in SL now and I own a 500W model, Amacrox is a company of the FSPgroup a well reputed PSU maker. nways I think yours is good enough for your rig, but you have spend too much for it unfortunately.
