BREAKING NEWS - MALAYSIAN BOEING CRASHED

Reports suggest that the plane was shot down by a surface-to-air missile called a BUK.

The BUK is a self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile systems in the Soviet era and designed to engage cruise missiles, smart bombs, aircraf and and unmanned aerial vehicles. Modern versions can reach up to 80,000 feet.

The US will have access to satellite imagery that should be able to identify ultra-violet plumes if a long-range surface-to-air missile was fired.

A number of Ukrainian military planes have been shot down by missiles in recent weeks. Ukraine has accused Russia's military of supplying advanced missiles to the rebels.
Earlier on Thursday, Ukrainian officials blamed the Russian air force for shooting down one of its ground attack jets on Wednesday.

Flightradar24 can now exclusively announce the time of the disappearance. The plane went of the radar screen at 1321 UTC (1521 CET). The attatched picture shows the exact position where it disappered.
