Definetly!
You can install Vista over XP without any prob
can install XP over Vista but have to edit the Boot Loader!

i use Vista+Ubuntu

Nope AFAIK... 7 contain a different boot loader...
Only ubuntu 9.04 can edit it... AFAIK
