Interesting question. Your fuel economy might get low since EV only range is small without a proper charge. An Outlander owner should be able to confirm this.

Defeats the whole purpose of buying a PHEV or an EV for that matter plus still had to do all those battery/hybrid system related maintenance. UM imported several petrol only Outlanders for the same reason. It should be as it will be petrol vehicle which is carrying a heavy battery, motors and other components which won't be used![]()

In that case, you won't be using the full EV capabilities of the vehicle

Ive seen several Outlanders parked at one hybrid garage for a few weeks, apparently, the Battery and the whole EV system are fucked up due to non-charging.I have a Prius PHEV. If I dont charge it, I can drive it as a normal hybrid vehicle. Never had a problem.
Remember this was mentioned in autovision program sometime back.Ive seen several Outlanders parked at one hybrid garage for a few weeks, apparently, the Battery and the whole EV system are fucked up due to non-charging.
Maybe this is not the case with all the PHEVs, better if an Outlander owner can give an idea about it.
Looks like they don't age well. Saw some bad reviews in a local fb group related to certain parts being cheaply made.Ive seen several Outlanders parked at one hybrid garage for a few weeks, apparently, the Battery and the whole EV system are fucked up due to non-charging.
