I think there are two concepts in car suspension system

(1) Ride - a car's ability to smooth out a bumpy road
(2) Handling - a car's ability to safely accelerate, brake and corner

when you get "ride", you will loose "handling" and vise verse. So there must be a compromise.

when designing car suspension, some tuned car suspension system towards either ride end or handing end

toyota corolla , camry towrds "ride" quality
honda civic towards "handling" quality

that is one reason why honda is popular here. they offer crisp handling.

I think it is not possible to get both qualities at the same time. Because as a principle, if you get one you will loose other. but you can get 50% to 50% or 70% to 30% depending on preference.

some like smooth ride....... some like crisp handling.....it depends
