Sanga is in the kind of form where he cud bat anywhere.. He has the technique to leave out the good balls and attack the bad ones..The way things are goin anyway he will be coming to bat before 5th over ne.. hehe Kapu and Dilruwan still doesn't have the technique to succeed at top of the order..They are middle order players..The biggest mistake selectors did was to leave behind a genuine opener like Mahela Udawtte or Avishka and select an allrounder like Dilruwan..Sana has been failing but he can contribute with the ball atleast..bt Tharanga is only a specialist batsmen.. we expect runs from him all the time..

I dn't thnk openiong wt Sanga z such a wise idea!
He z d backbone so v shud kinda save him! But may b Kapu wud fit in to the place!!!
N the other thng z man nt only Tharanga z been failing but also Sana which z been d dissapointing factor!!!
Sanga shud remain as the no.3.
I firmly belive tht the bst bastman must play @ no.3, since he might have 2 face d 2nd ball of the match as well as frm 5th over, 15th over so!!!

oh gimme a break..didn't u c maththew hayden walking down the pitch even before the ball was bowled to smash him?

vaas is ineffective with his mild pace and where the f*ck is his so-called swing?

andrew symonds swings it more than him..we need an attacking bowler like dilhara..

and believe me i can play better you:P :P
oh man, jst b-cuz sm1 walked to a bowler doesn't mean he z inefective!!!
Vassey may have lost sm pace, but he z a smart ass!
He knws wht he does, of course Dilhara z aggressive attacking bowler, but v need sm 1 lyk Vassey to contemprate a team.
Jst luk all the bowlers have gone 4 runs in sm matches.
It z jst a matter of the day!
He will swing the bowl 4 sure!!
Anyway abt u can play better th me, I really doubt tht!!!:P :P :P
I dare u!!!  :P :P :P

Vaas swinging the ball?

ok ..i hav to agree with the fact that sana is the failure..he's too slow..too slow to even lift the bat!!!

see how tendulkar played..man what an innings..great luking drives..do sana play those?

i'm not puttuing our seniors down..but i believe we should follow india and give new blood a chance..new meaning young

u may have a point there abt wht u have said abt Avishka thng!
But bro, since the modernification in the game, having specialist opners z sm wht difficult!
U've 2 work ur resources out! If take Sana, he was a genuine taqilender earlier, nw luk his progression!
N Kapu z a genuine bastman! He sure can do well, jst ht v need him 2 give the klicesnse 2 go aftr the bowling must ensure tht he won't loose his p[lace if fails to do so in his newly given postion!
V must try thngs out in oder to achieve bigger thngs!

the class of sana n Sachin z totaly different man!!
Sachin z a world class act n he has a superb technique!
Unlike Sana, who z a more of a dasher, u can't expect 2 see him play as Sachin n the other thng z Sachin far younger thn Sana!
N Vassey, man u got to see his performances in series way, thn only cum 2 conclusions!
Jst b-cuz 1 match, nah tht's nt the way!, Luk at Pollock, recently, see hw many tyms he had been chased out of the park, yet he z no. 1, n see the Vassey's ranking!!!!

Abt nangi, well bro, u can't say tht I'm worse thn ur cricket buddy, nangi!!
    I z u who play wt her, I play wt my level of players, n thth wht every1 does!!!:P :P :P :P

    Match delayed due to rain

    Cricinfo Update

11.20am Still here, and the news still isn't that great. More rain. Anyone know any good anti-rain dances and if so can you please get jigging. Thankyou.

10.25am Rajesh, our very own statsguru, has something for us. "If this match is washed out, it'll be the 11th no-result in ODIs between Sri Lanka and India, which is a record for any two teams. The next best (worst?) is Australia v India. Sri Lanka would have been involved in 22 washouts (if today's goes that way), and half of them have been versus India."

10.15am It may be raining at Manuka Oval, which should be hosting only its second international match right now, but the sun's always shining in Slogout. While we're plugging check this and that but don't get so emerged in the latter that you don't come back. For more facts about this game check out the bulletin, lovingly crafted by Brydon Coverdale. I'm Jenny Thompson by the way, and I'm going to start an umbrella manufacturing business.

10.00am The game should be starting now, but instead it's the groundstaff who are in the middle. The good news is that the forecast says it's supposed to clear in the afternoon.

It's been an unusual season in Australia rain-wise to say the least. The first two matches of this series were called off of course, the first time in Australia two ODIs in a row have been washed out.

9.40am local time Hello everyone and welcome along to what will be coverage of India and Sri Lanka's CB Series game at Manuka Oval if and when the rain stops. Unfortunately it's been cats and dogs all morning and there are puddles everywhere.

At best it's going to be something like a 25-over game, that's if drainage is good. Hand-run super soppers are trying to drain water from the covers, while a couple of normal ones are doing the rounds in the outfield. There are puddles of water near the covers, it's not looking good already I'm afraid.

12.35pm Players have been spotted out there, warming up. And the crowd's starting to fill up. The news from the inspection is that the umpires were not happy:( :( :( with the conditions inside the 30-yard circle and they're looking at another inspection at 12.50 and toss at about 1. This brings us to a 29-over game - Twentynine29 anyone?

12.30pm We're looking at a 30- or 32-over game and for a 1pm start. More confirmations when I have them.

12.10am Hurrah:lol:   , the covers are coming off and there could be cricket in an hour or so's time. The umpires are already out there testing the track with their feet. There could be something like a 30-over game around 1pm on what's still a pretty damp day. Stay tuned for more updates.

Rain delays India - Sri Lanka match
    NO%20TAG.jpg

Heavy rain has delayed the start of the tri-series one-day international between India and Sri Lanka at Manuka Oval. Umpires who inspected the outfield a short while ago have raised the possibility of a shortened match.

All righty, Sri Lanka have won the toss and will field. India are unchanged.

India 1 Virender Sehwag, 2 Sachin Tendulkar, 3 Irfan Pathan, 4 Gautam Gambhir, 5 Yuvraj Singh, 6 Rohit Sharma, 7 Mahendra Singh Dhoni (capt, wk), 8 Robin Uthappa, 9 Harbhajan Singh, 10 Sreesanth, 11 Ishant Sharma
