The Israeli actor Chaim Topol, who played the character Tevye in "The Fiddler on the Roof" passed away aged 87.

Haven't you watched the movie version of the musical "Fiddler on the Roof"? It's nearly a 3 hour movie (A Norman Jewison film) . Topol was a farmer, then by accident he became an Actor and a singer.
I have seen him on stage during his final performances of The Fiddler on the Roof. A very talented actor.
This was my son's favourite movie when he was a toddler. I had a DVD and he was watching it everyday, sometimes twice until the mother threw it away. He knew most of the songs. He probably liked the music and also the acting.
