You have to have an admin account to do this.

Anyway DO NOT post these kind of stuff in here pls.

On the other hand,

People should be aware of these kinda things. Never use your admin account to work. Coz admin can change the passwords back. So if someone else did this trick to your admin account then it's sort of hard to change it back.

Especially when allowing a friend of yours to use your computer, make sure you're not in the admin shell.

there is another way. But use it wisely. it is very dangerous in wrong hands. you can change any user account. it is usefull if you are a sys admin.
right click my computer and select manage.
    you'll see computer management window.

go to local users and groups the users. select the user name and rright click it. select set password.

    you'll see

click proceed and change it as you want. luckly you can;t do this in limited account. so hackers so sorry. no way. only for admins.

please don't do this again and don't be mad at me. this is for your own good.

I just wanted to show how easy it is to crack the passwords in Windows XP.

So, don't think your computers safe just by having a password.

I have told the same thing on yahoo hacking thread, please guys, do not mess around with somebodys privacy. it is very bad thing. imagine how would you feel if somebody change your password on your pc??. please do not use these things to do any harm to anybody. im 100% sure elakiri will not take any responsibility.

secure your password and user account

start -> right click on my computer -> manage -> users -> select your admin account and tick user cannot change password and again goto groups and add your account to admin group. make all the other accounts in users group so they won't get computer mangement console to change user settings

please don't feel bad about me. im just interested in everybodys privacy and safety

This is helpful for those who are concerned about password safety.
    Thanks.

please think twise befor you post anything which harms our privacy. remember we are elakiri community and we have to look after each others. please don't post any dodgy cracks or anything will help to steal somebodys private info. it is not good and most importantly these things are illegal.

i really don't have the time to teach you wot is good and wot is bad. so please be kind enough, not to post these info on public.

If you use advance security options and features of windows XP, nobody will be able to brake into your system.

unfortunately your cheap crack thread is targeting all the inexperienced XP users, who does not know how to enable the advance security features in XP.

i can understand that you did not think this far when you start this thread.

im sure you can do better than this ;)

opening the pandora's box, just to show how bad it is, is not a wise decision i think.

all the best and best regards

Do you want to change/remove the password of another user's User Account in XP?

    Just type
    control userpasswords2
in the Run window and hit enter.

    pw3.jpg

    You'll get this window

    pw1.jpg

Select any user from the list and click Reset Password

and type in a new password, you don't need to know the old password.
