the chupa has the chest of a gorilla and lower jaw of a pit bull. a face and skull of a bat or chiwawa dog. Shoulders and arms of a baboon. Hind legs and tail of pole cat. Ears of a bat or mouse. Teeth of snake or t-rex. 8-15 pounds total. Incredible leaping ability, clumsy hop on flat ground. Pure carnivore, eats, squirels, cats opossum, raccoon and small dogs. Flat face, forward looking eyes, no "white" of eye. Eyes refract a garnet red color when spotlit. Threatens with a very low growl. Attacks with a shrill scream so high-pitched that few people can perceive it. Black, short, mink fur on chest, arms and belly Cream-colored long, sparse hair on back. Cream, thick, long and short fur on tail. 28 inches total length, 12" of tail. 10" at shoulder. Front arms have wrists that turn, many individual muscels on arms, very defined, clearly visable collarbone, short thick neck , yoked but only 1" diameter arms. Thing could bench-press 120 lbs. Rear legs much longer than front. Made for leaping, only, like a short-legged rabbit with little wrists behind its 3 toes. Chest is dominate feature on animal. Is powerful and oversized. Long spine that looks slinky but is in fact very stiff and rigid. Sits like a baboon. Leaps like a starling in flight. Too fast to shoot, would take lucky reflex shot w/12g to bag one Torpid animal, active in summer. winters in inacessable cliffs. Creates bone piles in tree surrounded medows to attract prey. No environment produces enough biomass to support even a small group. They migrate through the trees They seem to have a 17-19 year cycle of return. They inhabit islands and the coast of San Fransisco bay since 1968. I gave up actively hunting it in 1993. A Mexican man told mrs Mcintosh in 1968 that we were dealing with a "chupachabre". She told me this in 1988. Where does wiki get its info from. It needs editing.
