Configure ADSL modem in linux?

Please tell me how to configure ADSL modem Prolink H9601 which is commonly distributed by SLT.
I have used both ubuntu and fedora, in the driver CD they have given a folder containing c files to compile the driver. but they didnt gave a procedre to do that!
In Ubuntu they detect the modem but they ask for number to dial (other than password and user name)
Can you help me to surf on linux platform,because i really love the linux platform more than windows>>>>>
I prefer Ubuntu O/S more.

Try using 8,35 as the number to dial. I had an obscure PCI ADSL card that worked in such a manner.

mokakda modem eke IP address eka ?type the IP address on the Address bar in Mozilla. ita passe modem eke user/pass dala go inside the modem. Then there has to be a Quick setup or setup link, eka click karala manually configure karanna ita passe restart the router and check. It should work. Note its better to configure the modem this way rather than using the CD. I never use the CD. in your case it could be not compatible with ubuntu.

Hey dialing that 8,35 didnt work and i think adsl modem is ditected by ubuntu dont know how to configure.Need help gys
