have to say 'the day that never comes" rockz

IMO i'd like to jump into the metal vs hiphop. . . for starters . . hiphop is soooo mainstream, metal is supposed to stay underground (not saying metal doesn't get mainstream exposure)
but u gotta really dig deep to find the diversity of metal subgenres compared to rap crap from wannabe gangstaz of east coast west coast and dirty south

ya i'm mostly into goth and doom . . but diverts to power/symphonic metal and folk too.

another point for metal vs hiphop. . . can hiphop really capture the rage and angst of a discriminated soul . . IMO no . . but imagine the energy radiating from a metal band in a live show compared to a hiphop group performing . . .for a good example see g-unit getting bottled at reading festival.
